About The Role
Step into the surreal world of DSSOLVR! Our award-winning Creative Team is searching for a Graphic Design Manager to craft dynamic marketing materials that showcase our ever-growing lineup of beverages. The Design Manager serves as the creative and marketing backbone of the DSSOLVR brand. This role blends hands-on design with high-level strategy, overseeing visual identity, label compliance, digital marketing, merchandise, and creative partnerships. Working across DSSOLVR, DSSOLVR Durham, VOWL Bar, and DSSOLVR Kitchen, the Design Manager ensures every brand touchpoint is intentional, consistent, and culturally relevant.

This role directly manages and mentors the DSSOLVR Durham Content Creator, providing creative feedback and day-to-day guidance to maintain a high standard of output across all brands. The role also works in close partnership with the Events Manager — the two roles share ground on partnerships and community presence, with this role sourcing and shaping relationships and the Events Manager owning the logistics and execution that follow.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage merchandise lifecycle: design, ordering, inventory, and restocking
  • Lead digital marketing and design assets for product packaging (including Beer and Bottle labels), social, and web use
  • Own social media across all DSSOLVR brands — content calendar, scheduling, DMs
  • Build brand partnerships and creative collaborations with local artists & businesses
  • Manage ABC/TTB label compliance and approvals
  • Mentor Durham content creator; coordinate with FOH, Brew, and Events teams

What You’ll Bring

  • Education & Experience:
    • Relevant education or training in design, or a related degree.
    • 4+ years of experience in a similar role (preferred but not required).

  • Proficiencies:
    • Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro (required)
    • Video shooting and editing, with a strong eye for detail and storytelling
    • Google Suite: Gmail, Google Drive, Docs.
    • Dropbox Management and File Sharing
    • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo).
    • Experience with Instagram and Facebook posting/curation.

  • Bonus Skills (not required but highly valued):
    • Photography
    • Hands-on arts & crafts skills
    • Copywriting

Application Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, and portfolio showcasing relevant work.
