Mashed with a grist of @proximity.malt Pale Ale and a medley of their Specialty malts. Hopped on the hot side with UK Challenger. Fermented with our Pub Ale yeast, spunded for natural carb on Cask, then bumped up to normal-human carbonation for draft and cans.

We experience Tea Cakes drizzled in Orange Marmalade and Fig jam and dusted in Cocoa Powder alongside a spot of English Breakfast tea, a distinct hard minerality, and an absolutely beautiful balance of all components.

We wanted to bring some non-Funky/Sour Cider to y’all, and we figure now is as good a time as any.

“Splendid Jewels” is the first in a series of Clean/Dry Cider we’ll be making. It was made with a blend of Golden and Gala Apples, all grown and pressed here in NC. Fermented to total dryness with some new-to-us Wine Yeast, with no additives or adjuncts. Just a straight up Dry Cider.

Available on draft and in cans starting Tuesday 1/25 in the @dssolvr_taproom.

“Bones and Waves” is one of our favorite DDH HAZY IPAs we make here, and it has emerged from the depths once again!

Brewed with a base of Riverbend 2-Row and 4 different kinds of Wheat to give an amped up and luscious body, hopped with Columbus for a mild bitterness, dry-hopped with Hallertau Blanc, and then double-dry-hopped with more Hallertau Blanc, Vic Secret, Strata, and this time we tossed in a mess of El Dorado Cryo instead of pellets for that extra OOMPH.

Notes of Pineapple upside-down cake, the perfect glass of dry Sauvignon Blanc, Lil Cuties Clementine wedges, creamy Orange Julius smoothies, Haribo gummy bears, and dried mango wedges. Oh, HELL to the yes, y’all. PLEASE GIVE A NOD WHEN YOU SEE THESE BONES DRIFTING IN THE WAVES.

WISH TO BE ELSEWHERE? YEAH!! ELSEWHERE BREWING BABY!!!!

“Digital Genie” is our take on a Maibock, whipped up in collaboration with our buds @elsewherebrewing and it’s prettyyyy prettyyyy good! We’ve long been fans of Maibock, but had yet to dip our toes into that style. When we spoke with the Elsewhere crew and realized they, too, were longtime admirers of the style, our fates were sealed. Obviously, we had to put our own spin on things, but the results are wish-fulfilling for sure.

Mashed with an OVERLY complicated grist of 100% @riverbend malt (Pilsner, Naked Oats, Hulled Oats, Vienna, Light Munich, Dark Munich, Chit Malt, and their new Sunset Toasted Wheat). Hopped lightly with Saaz and Huell Melon. Fermented low and slow, spunded for dat natural carb, and Lagered for many moons in a Horizontal Tank.

We experience just the bottoms of baked Honey Biscuits, sun-dried Orange peels with a light Caramel Fig drizzle, fields of Hay, that first bite of crisp Springtime air, and finding a magic lamp inside a video game and making a digital wish.

“The Hustle is HeartBreak” is our newest West Coast IPA, and we really just cannot get enough of this series.

Mashed with Riverbend 2-Row, Red Wheat, a touch of Crystal malt, and just a kiss of Dextrin malt. Hit HARD on the hot side with Michigan Centennial, Columbus and Citra, fermented low and slow with our Pub Ale yeast and spunded for dat natural carb. Dry hopped only once, but rather aggressively with MORE Citra, Mosaic, Columbus, Cascade, and a bunch of Centennial Cryo.

Notes of bittersweet Mango fruit leather rolled in Blueberry skins and coated in coniferous tree sap, biting straight into an unpeeled Grapefruit, some sorta marijuana reference, and that first righteous pint of Boneyard IPA you had…although their IPA is still VERY relevant…and in cans!

It is clear, it is malty, it is orange, it is bitter, it is dry, and it is dank. Hell yeah. Shred that gnar gnar. As always with the “Hustle” series, the amazing @jade.o.lantern killed the artwork!

Is that a fresh beer on Nitro?! OHHHHHHH YEAH!

“No Moons for Mercury” is a Moon Pie Porter, and we didn’t make it just because @costarastrology told us to…but we might have. Available on Nitro in the taproom, and normal-human-levels of carbonation elsewhere on draft and in the can.

Mashed with a base of @riverbendmalt Southern Select and a medley of English Roasted Malt, hit very aggressively with Target hops on the hot side, fermented low and slow with our Pub Ale yeast, and spunded for 100% natural carbonation on Cask, before being bumped up to normal carbonation levels for draft and cans. BUT THEN THE STARS ALIGNED, and we heard a message from the above telling us to condition it on mountains of @frenchbroadchocolate cocoa nibs, a medley of many different types of fresh-ground Cinnamon, a whole bunch of Vanilla Beans, more than a bounty of Marshmallow, and some cake… Well, we added the cake, but it’s like, totally our prerogative, okay?!

Notes of childhood lunchtime treats, two chocolate cakes engulfing a mound of Marshmallow with a kiss of Cinnamon, and your horoscope being totally in-sync. It’s your time to shine, baby!

Releasing today to help you through your ~favorite~ planetary illusion. Expect a release on draft and in cans coinciding with every Mercury Retrograde this year, available right when ya need it.

“Emerge as Two” is a super far-out riff on our similarly named release last year, and we teamed up with the weirdest homies we know to make it happen, @hoofheartedbreweryandkitchen. This time around, we went with a Toasted Coconut Chocolate Lemon Bar Imperial Stout. WEIRD IS AS WEIRD DOES, Y’ALL!

Mashed with a base of @riverbendmalt Southern Select and a bevy of Roasted and Specialty Malts, boiled for arguably too many hours, and then fermented with a new-to-us Yeast (thanks for the tips, Hoofy Krew) before being spunded for dat natural carbonation. We then conditioned this whallop of a beer on mounds of Macaroon Coconut, Toasted Coconut, Vanilla Beans, Cacao Nibs from @frenchbroadchocolates, Cake, and juuuuuuuust a touch of Lemon.

Pretty much a Toasted Coconut Chocolate Lemon Bar in liquid form. You know what it is.

MAMMA MIA! OUR CRISPY BOIS ARE MAKING A TRIUMPHANT RETURN!

We teamed up with the Hoofy Mayne Juicelords (@hoofheartedbreweryandkitchen ) and whipped up YET ANOTHER re-release of a tasty lil treat for y’all. We blessed this mess of a Winter and brought back a few fan favorites… FIRST UP IS THE WORLD’S BEST PIZZA THEMED ITALIAN PILS!

“Cold Caprese Pizza” is mashed solely and singularly with @riverbendmalt Pilsner and hit with our trusted Lager treatment on the hot side. Hopped very aggressively in the Whirlpool with Pacifica and Hallertauer Mittelfruh, fermented low and slow with our House Lager yeast, spunded for dat 100% natural carbonation, and dry-hopped with Tettnanger and Saphir before being laid down to Lager for many moons in our Horizontal Tanks.

We experience freshly-tossed Pizza dough, romantic bouquets of Wildflowers in the evening, sitting like 4 feet from someone who just peeled a Mandarin Orange, and a hint of Lemon Balm steeped in a cup of super mellow White Tea.

We’ve got a very special release for y’all. A pair of single-barrel Barleywines rested in Heaven Hill barrels for over 20 months, made with our friends at @proclamationale. “A Thousand Voices” and “A Thousand Echoes” will be dropping on NYE, in-house only. We’ll have both on draft and in bottles. We’ll also be tapping the last keg of the non-BA version (“BEFORE”) on draft and in bottles, as we’ve been cellaring this bad little ditty for just this occasion! We may or may not also have some other special bottles…who knows?

We started with a base of Maris Otter, then added just a touch of Munich Oats from @RiverbendMalt and some Flaked Wheat for body and complexity. We then boiled the bejeezus out of it and fermented it with our House Kolsch yeast, before cold-conditioning it for 4 weeks for extra clean character. We then racked a portion of that base beer into 8-year Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrels where it rested for over 20 months. No adjuncts, no sugars, just a really nice Barleywine aged in some really nice barrels for a really long time.

Notes of fresh baked biscuits, sweet and sticky Tootsie Pops, rich Caramel candy daydreams, a bowl full of plums and prunes that have been absolutely drowned in Bourbon, and a slathering of super pungent Oaky vanillin. Soft, rich AF, full-bodied, slathered in barrel character, and possibly a bit too drinkable!

*On a serious note*
In case you didn’t know, last Christmas our dear friend and co-founder of @proclamationale , Dave Witham, passed away. It came quickly and unexpectedly, and his loss reverberated amongst the industry as loudly as his voice and presence when he was still here. He was a man of a thousand voices, and he left a thousand echoes. He is, and will continue to be, dearly missed by all of us. Our hearts go out to the Witham family and the Proc family alike. Dave truly was an amazing person and was one of the first people to welcome us into the industry and I’ll never forget his friendship or his big heart.

A portion of the proceeds from these two BA Barleywines will be donated to the Witham family. We know Dave would be super stoked on this pair of gnarly beers, and we hope you are, too.

Let’s ring in the New Year..the German New Year!!!!! Our friends across the Atlantic kick off the New Year a little bit earlier than us, 6 hours earlier that is! So to celebrate, we'll once again raise a complimentary glass of "Thank You For Existing," our flagship Kolsch, right at 6:00 PM and welcome in German New Years! Come say "Frohes neues Jahr" and say buh bye to 2021!
