Plan to end on time.) \nLocation: Dssolvr Brewery\, 630 Rigsbee Ave\, Durham\, NC 27701 \nEnjoy a beverage at Dssolvr Brewery in Durham\, NC while you design and create your own ornaments! You will be provided with one 6” x 10” slab of cream-white clay from which you can make as many hangable things as desired. Participants have walked away with anywhere from 3 to 8 creations\, depending on size and design. Templates will be provided for popular shapes like circles and trees\, or you can freehand cut the shape(s) you want. I will teach you how to apply underglaze decal images to personalize each ornament! A wide variety of designs will be offered such including Christmas\, Hannukah\, fungi\, plants\, dinosaurs\, and animals\, and some are pictured here. \nAt the end of class\, I will take your creations to my studio to be fired\, waxed\, clear-glazed\, and fired again. They will be dishwasher and microwave-safe. Your ornaments will be available for pick-up at Dssolvr in Durham once they are finished. \n***Very important*** Pottery is a bit of science and a lot of physics\, and random things happen in the creation process. I will try my absolute best to care for your creation from start to finish\, but strange things do happen as slabs dry\, such as cracking and warping. We will do basic hand building\, cut holes for the light to shine through\, and you can decorate the pieces by carving or with stamps if you choose. \nAt the end of class\, I will take your artwork to my studio to be fired\, glazed\, and fired again.
